PICK OF THE WEEK

Images via The Sartorialist & JAK&JIL.
It may be Friday, and as happy as we are about the approaching weekend, we still wish we could spend it at the beach. We also wish we could still walk around in our Summer clothes.
Oh well, onwards to Autumn! And the weekend!

HEY, SIMON!

Recently, we sat down and had a lovely chat with the Simon Carter via Skype. We got to pick his brain about fashion, cars, music, and cats. That's right. We said cats.

Watch, enjoy, and watch again (if you please)!

THIS JUST IN: SNEAKERS

We've got Gola sneakers in the shop! The brand has been around since 1905, and has managed to survive through two World Wars, making it "fair to say that Gola has stood the test of time and made its mark on the fashion world.

We love a good, classic sneaker paired with a casual outfit, or even a suit. (as we've previously discussed) And how much more classic can it get, than with a pair of Gola trainers on your feet? Get a closer look at them below, or just come in an try them on - before they're all gone!

*In other news, check the blog tomorrow. We've got a bit of a surprise for you!

LOOK OF THE DAY

Photos via Google images.
It's getting cold out there, gentlemen! We hate to say it, but it may be time to warm up with some layers.   The classic Fair Isle sweaters are our favourite this season. They were made famous by their brightly coloured patterns, which were influenced by Spaniards shipwrecked on Fair Isle in 1588. We've found their timeless designs never seem to go out of style, as you can see on Prince Edward (above photo), Michael Jackson, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (below) - who all look quite dapper, if you ask us.

Pop by the shop and check out some Fair Isle sweaters that have just come in today! They'll be a great addition to your wardrobe, and an even better defence against the cold weather.

PICK OF THE WEEK: THE "MURSE."

Images via The Sartorialist.
There comes a time in a man's life when his pants and coat pockets simply cannot hold all of his stuff, so he must carry a bag. There are backpacks, and then there's the man-bag, or "murse (man purse)," as they're sometimes referred to. Comedians have have poked fun at the idea of a "murse," but we think a bag's a bag's a bag, and wether it's got straps or handles doesn't make a difference to us. There are stylish backpacks, briefcases, and so many other options at our disposal, why not try them all?

Afterall, it's not what you wear, but how you wear it.

TABBED COLLARS

Tabbed collars were popularized by King Edward VIII. Tabbed collars have a snap or button and loop that connect the collar behind the knot of the tie, which serves the same function as a collar bar or pin.
It pushes the tie knot up and out. A small four-in-hand knot with a skinnier tie is best with a tab.
