Function versus style is often a struggle for home decoration. You want to buy art, but that sofa from your days in college probably should be replaced first.

Japanese design studio YOY aims to solve your design woes by developing 'canvas', a series of 
two-dimensional hanging furniture pieces. They're constructed out of wood and and aluminum; the volume is covered by an elastic fabric, which is screen-printed with drawings of different types of furniture. Lean the pieces against a wall, and they'll stretch when weight is applied—basically, art you can sit on!
