Today's look is inspired by The Specials, a band from the late 70's who, in a time of British punk rock rebellion, decided to keep it classy in their tonic suits.

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE SPRINGTIME!
We've all probably been thinking the same thing. People are starting to put their heavy winter coats away, and although the 'Spring (is almost here) fever' has been creeping up on us for what seems like ages now, it might actually - finally - be upon us. Warm weather!
So, in the spirit of sunny days, and the wonderful feeling you get after putting away your snow shovel for the last time (But only until next Winter of course - but still!) let's celebrate the classic warm weather ritual that is picnics.
Now a picnic isn't a picnic without some gingham (a date who looks like Zooey Deschanel wouldn't hurt either), and what do you know - we've got a ton of it! Shirts. We have a ton of shirts.*
We suggest you get them before they disappear, like a pile of our favourite French macarons.
*Unfortunately, we do not produce clones of attractive, female celebrities.

THIS JUST IN: T-SHIRTS
We'll agree that once, for a moment, shirts like these may have brought a few chuckles. However, I think that everyone can agree that while t-shirts with humour are still fun to wear, it may be time to retire the ones with arrows pointing towards your genitals.
We've got some limited edition t-shirts in the shop that we think are equally funny, with a bit of added wit.
Come check them out. Try one on, or just have a laugh!

THIS JUST IN: DENIM
We've got new jeans, folks! This time, from Toronto-based Outsider denim.
The jeans are made with 13 oz redline XX selvage fabric using Cone Mills deep tone Indigo, with the definitive five pocket jean, and the quintessential slim 1940's cut. In other words, you're looking at a pair of classic, high-quality jeans that are made to last.
Now you don't have to be an expert to know that great denim makes for great jeans. But even so, who better to describe them than the denim connoisseurs themselves? The guys at Outsider say, "Raw denim gives the wearer of the product the ability by simply wearing them to create their own unique piece. Depending on what and where you go, the denim will tell stories of what transpired while wearing them. Like leather, Raw denim has the ability to age gracefully with the person wearing the product!"

LOOK(S) OF THE DAY
Today's looks are inspired by the fantastic weather we had. Yesterday. It was warm enough to leave the heavy, winter coats at home, so we thought we'd take it a step further (to really get into the spirit of Spring) and go completely coat/jacket-free!
Fortunately, this weekend calls for some nice, warm weather again - so maybe Spring is finally here. We're not holding our breath, though.

WALK THE WALK
"Between saying and doing many a pair of shoes is worn out," is one of those quotes that motivate you and make you want to take action, but not before buying a great pair of shoes to do it in. And if they're going to get worn out, you're probably going to want to get a pair of shoes that's going to last through all of the 'taking charge' you're going to get up to.
Though just awarded a Royal Warrant of Appointment to the Queen in 2007, Loake has been making shoes fit for the royal family since 1880.
Loakes are known for their quality, but also for their style. Their classic look adds a great finishing detail to any outfit, which - like a vintage car, or a beer fridge - makes them a great investment. To make sure you're taking care of your investment, just follow some of these steps:
1. (This particular rule should apply to all dress shoes.) ALWAYS use a shoehorn when putting on your shoes. This will keep the backs strong and sturdy.
2. Leather shoes usually require a full day to dry out from natural perspiration, so try to give them at least 24 hours between wears.
3. Should your Loakes get excessively wet, let them dry naturally away from direct heat. Use newspaper inside the shoe to help the leather dry out.
4. Regular use of a good-quality cream or wax polish is ideal. This will help moisturize the leather, as well as prevent cracking and excessive creasing.
